I have been so super busy, and haven't found much time to get on here! Michaela turned 14 months yesterday! I can't believe it! Time just flies by! She is learning and growing more and more everyday! :) Yesterday Mitch broke down Michaela's crib to the day bed it turns into, to try and see if Mac would give it a try sleeping in it and She loves it. She climbs on it, and plays and has just been hanging out in her room! Last night Mac and I watched TV in her room for a while, and she sat on her bed! She finally fell asleep about 10 and we moved her into her room and she came out into the living room (No Crying, Not Mad, Nothing) and climbed up onto the couch and went back to sleep! :) Yay! Fingers Crossed, this is our steps to getting her to sleep in her room! I found a bubble guppies bed set, so we are going to get that along with some wall decals we found and fix up her room for her! :)
Michaela really picks up on things really fast and most come really easy for her! She has been watching one of the older girls I watch "go potty" so this has been her new thing to do for awhile, she would tell me "potty" when we were in there and she would want to sit on there! But the last couple days, she has actually told me potty and went in the potty. Defiantly not going to force or push this, but have been encouraging it and asking her if she has to go! Makes me sad shes growing up so fast, but she makes me so proud!
Michaela got her tubes put in on the 22nd of April! Surgery itself took literally 5 minutes! It took her longer to calm down afterwards. After about 10 minutes of crying, the offer of Milk and Me holding her, Mitch put Bubble Guppies on on his phone, and she was done crying in 1 minute. Ha! Should of known. Her and Her Bubble Guppies, shes too funny! That day went really good, not knowing what to except. She slept on and off all day and with the help of Tylenol, She seemed great! At Mac's pre-op appointment for her tubes she had a hearing test.. and in her left ear she had pressure built up(like when you go on an airplane.) which actually resulted in her failing the hearing test in that ear. We noticed a difference in Mac's attitude and her talking right away after tubes..she probably felt so much better, and could actually hear us better, so she's been talking and repeating things a lot more then she was. She had actually had a double ear infection at the time of her getting her tubes and the Dr. told us he didn't like how the fluid or inflammation looked so he prescribed her some drops to help heal them. And we actually had to call and get different drops, cause as of last Monday she still had stuff coming out of her ears! She has a follow up appointment tomorrow! :)
Since my last blog I have been keeping super busy with daycare, and currently in the process of getting into a military daycare program! This will be a great thing for me and my career. With the plus of them helping me stay full with kids! Daycare kiddos and I have been working on Mother's Day Projects this week! We put hand prints on flower pots! I am excited for them to take them home and give them to their Moms. I am super excited for the temperature to warm up, and for summer! Lots of time outside for every one will be great!
Hope her follow up appointment goes well!
