Life is Precious

Last week Mac and I both got to take a trip to Colorado for both of our first times EVER, and I never want to go for that reason EVER again. Mac and I were napping together last Wednesday afternoon, and while we were napping I was woke up by a phone call, it was my sisters friend Abby..I thought it was just my sister and her calling because they were bored....so I ignored and went back to my cozy nap with Mac. When I woke up I had a message saying they couldn't get a hold of my mom and that my sister had been in a bicycle accident. So I called Abby back to make sure they got a hold of my mom, and then Abby told me that they were in the ER, and that "Stephs face went into a cement wall". So I called my mom and talk to her, and she had talked to Abby's Mom and they (ER drs) that all my Sis' injuries were superficial. (My Sis was in Colorado camping with Abby and Abby's Family). Got a text from Abby saying that they were doing a CAT Scan to make sure everything was ok. I was talking to my mom and she said if Steph had to stay over night she was going up there, I told her I Mac and I would go with. We thought everything was going to be ok.....

The Next phone call wasn't what I was expecting. My mom called me and told me that we had to go to Colorado. That my Sis had a fracture in her skull, in her cheek, and a partial collapsed lung...I starting freaking out and told my Mom I would be to Abilene as soon as I could. We didn't know to much else except that they were transporting her to a Denver Children's Hospital, and the doctor told my mom that if it was his daughter thats where he would want her. So after I frantically packed what I we needed(not knowing how long we would be there or anything), Mitch drove Mac and I to my Moms. We met my Dad in Hays, and he drove us the rest of the way. It was a very long and awkward car ride... (I just wanted to see my Sis, and my parents in the same car was really weird).*I must add in here that Mac was amazing in the car and the WHOLE trip*

We finally got there, and My Sis was still up there with a Nurse in her room, and Abby and Her Mom, stayed with her until we got there. :) After we talk to my for a few(And found out the story...was going down a bike path (which went under an underpass) and she lost control of the bike and went face first into the cement wall...wasn't wearing a helmet but hard to say if that would of even helped considering on where she hit her head) we all hit the hay...We all crashed in the hospital. They had a little pull out bed my mom, Mac and I shared, and My dad slept in the recliner. Steph had to stay in the hospital for 2 nights. (part of the reason being that she wasn't able to eat until late Thursday because they were waiting on Lab work to make sure she wasn't bleeding anywhere internally) My Sis finally injuries were a fracture in her right cheek bone, a fracture in her skull right behind her right ear, 2 of the 3 bones in her right ear were broken off(causing hearing loss, may need surgery (wont know until her 6 week follow up) if the bones don't connect back on there own), 7 stitches in her right knee, a partial collapsed lung, scraps and bruises everywhere.

Mac did amazing, and it was definitely a very long two days. Mac did get her very first wagon ride in the hospital. My Sis' has been pretty sore, but is looking better and better everyday! I am so thankfully and so lucky/blessed she is going to be OK and is still with us!  I was so scared. Stephanie is truly the best little sister around and I would be so lost without one of my Best Friends. *My next trip to Colorado will be more fun*

Mac's 4 Months Old Today...

My Mac Attack turned 4 Months old Today...My does time go by fast. Life with my Mac is Amazing. I had a great birthday, and we had a great 4th. We didn't do Much yesterday! We took a couple naps, had pizza for lunch, filled up Mac's new little pink pool, and took her "swimming" for the first time, Went over to a friends house and watched fireworks and had a little BBQ. Mac did great with the fireworks, they didn't bother her at all, sometimes she would jump, but then she would look around trying to find where it came from. Mac really fought going to sleep, but once she was out...she was out! :) Mac also had her 4 month appointment on Tuesday, and doctor said she looked great! 24 3/4 inches, and 14lbs and 13oz. 70s percentile on all!!! :)

Mac and I just hung out today..bought Daddy lunch to work (he is running the shop by himself, since Grandpa Doug is out of town.), painted her toes, and went swimming again. Mac loves the pool, she has a blast splashing around. Here's some pictures from this week and last! :)

Another Year Older

So Sunday I turned another year older, and I look back at all the good and bad that has happened this year. It was this time last year, that I got a week late birthday gift...and the best birthday gift a girl could ask for. I found out I was pregnant again!!! :) I couldn't of been any more happy! I was so excited, so nervous and so scared all at the same time! And now I am so blessed with My little Princess, who turned 4 months old today! Where does the time go?!?

Tuesday the 3rd, was also a very sad for me. The one thing I believed in Most came to end. It was something I NEVER thought I would see happen. My parents divorce was final. This year as been a really long year. I have been blessed with such a beautiful  daughter, but while I was enjoying my pregnancy, and watching my daughter grow these past few months, I have also witnessed something that has torn my family apart. This is something that has truely affected more then one can image, at times my whole look at life changes. It still hard for me to believe that after 27 years of Marriage is over. I had always felt so lucky to still have my parents together. About last September I had found out my parents weren't getting along, but they were going to work on things, then come December, it really fell apart. Watching all this has been horrible and really has affected me more then one will ever know. My parents love and relationship was one thing that I truely admired and always looked up too. My Mom and My Dad are my Heros. This is/has been so devastating to me. I maybe 26, married and with a family of my own, but this still affects everyone in the family no matter how old...My parents haven't been living together since December but there has been a piece of me wishing, hoping and praying that things would work out, and we would could all be whole again! But I have to keep believing in Faith, and tell myself that everything happens for a reason. And that God has his plans for everyone. My sister is one that I worry about the most, as she is only 14, and has witnessed more than anyone should. My heart breaks for her, and my whole family. This was the last thing I would of ever thought would happen. Both of My Parents need to be Happy, and need to do what is best for both of them! I just hope wish and pray that they can find it some day in their hearts, to forgive and forget and try to be friends, so Mac can have both of her Grandparents around, and for My Sister. This has made me into someone I am not, I am so bitter, and so mad at life, and I dont ever know why. I would of never thought, that this would effect me this way. So my goal for this year is to get back to the person I use to know, and be happy, with such a positive attitude. I have so much to be Thankful for, I am blessed beyond belief with so many beautiful things/people in my life. So Here is To Amazing, Very Blessed and Beautiful Year.

Mac's New Adventures

Mac had a busy week last week. She is getting so big and I can't believe it. 16 weeks! Mac got her ears pierced. She did so good. Only cried for a minute! :) Mac is still having problems with her runny diapers, so after talking to the nurse a couple times last week we decided to let Mac try some cereal to see if it would help. Well Mac absolutely loves eating the cereal...but I think It is because she likes playing in it. As soon as she takes a bite...she puts her whole hand in her mouth. But it didn't solve Macs problem...:( Her runny diapers started all over again and have to get a stool sample and bring it to the lab. Dr. thinks it rotavirus. So we will see what comes of that. Other than that Mac is growing and learning new things everyday! :)

Fathers Day.

We didn't do much on Father's Day. Mitch and I both worked. I must add in there that Mitch isn't very fond of Father's day since his Dad isn't around anymore. But I did what I could to make it special for him! I made Mitch his request for dinner which was Chicken Vegetable Chowder, and a layered butter cake, with chocolate frosting.
