Michaela Ann

Michaela has been an amazing baby. She only wakes up once in the middle of the night, even from the very start. :) Being a mom is amazing. When we left with her from the hospital her bilirubin was high, and we had to take her back up the next day for blood work( this continued for 5 days...:( ) and finally she was in the clear. At her first appointment everything looked good but her weight... she had lost too much weight...so we had to get her up every 3 hours to eat. I wasn't comfortable enough breast feeding but I was all about pumping so Michaela could have my milk...well it didn't work because I never got enough milk in..so I completely gave up...that was a sad day to me. I already had postpartum depression really bad and that added to it. My postpartum was so bad, I didn't want to be around anyone. Thinking about leaving Michaela made me cry, and most days I would just cry..:(

Chopper was unsure of Mac at first...he was pretty jealous....especially cause he's a big mamas boy. He still is jealous but is loving her more and more everyday and is more and more comfortable with her. He thinks he is her protector like he is mine! 

At Mac's month appointment everything looked great...weight and all. :) She weighed in at  8lbs 14oz and was 21 inches long. Dr was so impressed with how much and how high she could hold her head up. She said she was way ahead of herself and the days of mom and dad leaving her alone on anything was no more. Mac even rolled over from her belly to back for the doctor! 

Mac really loves sitting in her boppy pillow and bouncy seat and looking around at stuff. She also loves checking out her big brother Chopper. She is currently smiling at everything:) She absolutely loves when you talk to her, or read to her (which we do every day), or sing to her. Mac also loves listening to Music. 

I just went back to work this past weekend, it was hard leaving Michaela...I cried!:( But I only have to work weekends, cause my amazing husband is working a second job on the weekends. And Michaela gets to spend time together with her grandmas and Aunt on the weekends. I am licensed to do daycare...just waiting to get kids in and I will be good to go.
